Placement Pathways ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Placement Pathways Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17362061), with its registered office at Upper Flat, 60 Ridgeway Road, Redhill, England, RH1 6PH. We collect the following personal data when you use the Platform: your name, email address, and password (via our membership provider, Memberstack); profile and onboarding information you provide as a candidate or recruiter; job application and placement-related data; and payment information when you subscribe to a paid recruiter plan, which is collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves.

We use your personal data to create and manage your account, connect candidates with recruiters and job opportunities, process payments for paid plans, communicate with you about your account or applications, and improve and maintain the Platform. Our legal basis for processing this data is performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating the Platform, and, where applicable, your consent.

We share personal data with the following third-party service providers, who process it on our behalf: Memberstack (account and membership management), Stripe (payment processing), Airtable (data storage), Wized (site functionality), Make.com (workflow automation), and TalkJS (in-platform messaging). We also share relevant profile and application information between candidates and recruiters as part of the core service. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Some of our third-party service providers may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to ensure your data continues to be protected in line with UK data protection law.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Platform's services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

The Platform uses only essential and functional cookies required for the site to operate, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at ben@placementpathways.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data properly.

The Platform is intended for use by university students and recruiters and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including relying on the security measures of our third-party service providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
